World Water Council: membership fund introduced
Updated - Tuesday 09 March 2004
The World Water Council (WWC) has introduced a membership solidarity fund to allow more organisations from developing countries to join. The fund will be based on voluntary donations from WWC members and non-members. The WWC has also replaced the previous fixed annual member rate of US$ 1,000 (EUR 808) by a system of staggered fees, ranging from EUR 920 to EUR 250. These fees are calculated according to the average GDP per capita of the country in which the organisation is based, based on the UNDP Human Development Report 2003.
