In honour of World Water Day and as part of the kick-off of the Africa Rural Connect Ideas Competition, which solicits ideas from around the globe on helping rural African communities, the National Peace Corps Association is spearheading the innovative discussion on water’s role in agriculture and rural development in Africa. The Twitter discussion will be open to literally anyone with a computer or mobile phone and will focus on the importance of access to clean drinking water as well as the importance of water in irrigation methods for farming in rural communities.
