Water for Life 2010: University of Calgary

University of Calgary is organising a conference Water for Life 2010 in Calgary, Canada, on 25 March 10. This conference aims at bringing the subject of water issues to the frontline and to provide a space for discussions and debates by policy makers, water managers, academics, students and the public in general. It will focus on Alberta water management, progress and challenges, and the implications of water issues around the world. The Centre for Public Interest Accounting, at the Haskayne School of Business, along with the Development Studies Club are sponsoring this conference..Event

3rd Annual WATER FOR LIFE Multi Arts & Science

Celebration Festival EDMONTON: Raindance Rubberboots and Sunshine Treeshade are putting music performances and public speeches in Edmonton, Canada, from 20-22 March. The two companies are charitable non-profit creators of humanitarian and ecology benefit events that help local and international charities.

At Raindance Rubberboots annual/founding requests City of Edmonton Mayor Stephen Mandel has made official civic date proclamations on behalf of all Edmontonians "Edmonton World Water Day March 22" They have registered four events.

Just Add Water - Soup Fest

The Children's Water Education Council in Kitchener, Canada, is organising the Just Add Water - Soup Fest on 22 March 2010. Promoting unique water based programs designed for children that are interactive and educational. The Just Add Water Soup Fest will promote the use of clean, safe drinking water. Event

Water Conservation Challenge

The Saskatchewan Environmental Society and Sierra Club of Canada have set up a water conservation challenge throughout March 2010. Eight participants across Canada, as well as one in Japan and one in Indonesia are participating in this challenge, using no more than 25 litres a day to meet our basic water needs.
World Water Day is an excellent opportunity to raise awareness of this project, and get people thinking about their own individual water consumption. See their blog
