Nigeria: Japan to fund rural water supply and sanitation centre

The Japanese Government is making significant contributions in the areas of health, education, water supply, rural electrification and agriculture in Nigeria. Part of this includes support for a rural water supply and sanitation centre for capacity development within the National Water Resources Institute in Kaduna. Japan has said earlier that it plans to double bilateral Overseas Development Assistance (ODA) to Africa by 2012.
