Ned Breslin: new CEO of Water for People

Water for People, a nonprofit international development organization based in Denver, USA, has appointed Ned Breslin as its Chief Executive Officer (CEO) with immediate effect. Mr. Breslin joined Water For People in January 2006 as the Director of International Programs and has been Acting CEO for the past eight months.
As Director of International Programs, Mr. Breslin led Water for People's programmes in Bolivia, Guatemala, Honduras, India, and Malawi and oversaw the organization’s expansion into the Dominican Republic, Peru, Rwanda, and Uganda.
Mr. Breslin has worked for several NGOs in the water and sanitation sector since the 1980s, including the Lutheran World Relief, the Mvula Trust and WaterAid. He has a Masters of Arts Degree from the University of Witwatersrand in Johannesburg, South Africa and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Studies from St. Lawrence University in Canton, New York.
