Addressing the reality and disproportionate spending
I have read the article with great interest and find the reality about the work being taken forward by our Government and their so called supporting/funding agencies working with in state Madhya Pradesh. This is shame to all of the agencies, that even with global hype about the good work we are unable to save the children in these villages, they are dying each day due to fluorosis. Aren't we spending disproportionately to administrative cost than really helping the poor. The quote of 'Rajiv Gandhi' former Prime Minister of India must be remembered by developmental professionals that, "only 15 paise of every rupee spent' reaches to the poor" and this applies to all the agencies in this sector.

The best way to deal with fluor is not by individual household filters, but to install a simple community treatment system near the source. www.watsan.org website gives more info on this, see the swing pump option for schools and communities or contact us for more details at info@fairwater.org or www.fairwater.org
