WaterLinks: network for water operators partnerships in the Asia and the Pacific

Updated - Friday 07 November 2008

WaterLinks is a joint initiative of the Asian Development Bank, the International Water Association and USAID aimed at strengthening the ADB's Water Operators Partnership (WOPs) programme.

WaterLinks was set up during the 2008 World Water Week in Stockholm. It aims to coordinate, develop and implement joint activities for WOPs in the Asia and Pacific region. It will do this by:

  • establishing twinning partnerships for utilities and municipal agencies;
  • organising capacity development activities in the form of workshops and training events;
  • developing and maintaining a WOPS web site that will serve as an information clearing house.
