Each of the family of Source products has a different range of articles including:
News summaries
A news summary is a summary of up to 170 words of a sector news story taken from one or more (usually not more than three) publicly available sources. The summary is accompanied by a reference to the original source(s) and where possible a contact address for further information, links to related Source news items and to related websites. News summaries are published in electronic SourceWeekly. Selected news items also appear as News in brief in the paper version of Source Bulletin
General features
A feature is an article of between 100-800 words. Features take an in-depth look at an issue or initiative, and often reflect voices at community level. Features are published in Source Bulletin, Boletín de Noticias - Agua y Saneamiento and the Sources Nouvelles Edition Spéciale.
Partner contributions
Initiatives and collaborations involving IRC and partner organisations are published in Source Bulletin. Such organisational news must be of interest to an external audience, not simply internally within the organisation.
Readers’ opinions, expert interviews
All Source titles welcome contributions from readers and seek to publish them wherever possible. This includes opinions and comments from staff of the organisations that produce or sponsor Source as well as from outside contributors. Experts’ opinion in the French Source feature bulletin is usually provided by guest contributor.
