Mr. Ger Bergkamp has been appointed as Director General of the World Water Council, effective June 1st, 2008. Mr. Bergkamp brings in 20 years of experience serving the water community, most recently at the IUCN (The World Conservation Union). Mr. Daniel Zimmer has served as Executive Director of the Council since November of 2001, and will continue as Associate Director in charge of the preparation of the 5th World Water Forum until June 2009.
