Professor Edgar Leonardo Quiroga Rubiano is the new Dean of the Faculty of Engineering at the Universidad del Valle, Cali, Colombia. He has been elected for the period 2008-2011, and has assumed his new post as of June 1st, 2008. Prof. Quiroga, a sanitary engineer, was director of CINARA, the Instituto de Investigación y Desarrollo en Abastecimiento de Agua, Saneamiento Ambiental y Conservación del Recurso Hídrico, from 2001 to 2007. CINARA is a research and development institution based at the Faculty of Engineering at Universidad del Valle.
