Updated - Thursday 08 November 2007
The Peruvian government has approved a bill to create an investment fund called Inversan (Fondo de Inversión en Saneamiento) for water and wastewater-related projects. The fund will manage all foreign grants and loans. It will complement the government's "Water for All" programme.
Inversan’s board will be made up of representatives from the Peruvian development bank Cofide, the housing ministry, and municipal and regional governments.
