IRC has published as OpenCourseWare, the programme, sessions plans and background reading materials for a two-day training workshop on corruption prevention in the water sector. The focus of the workshop is on building stronger systems of transparency, integrity and accountability.

On November 1st, the Sustainable Sanitation and Water Management toolbox went online. The SSWM toolbox is an integrated capacity development support from Seecon International, which links up sustainable sanitation, agriculture and water management.

The United Nations University (UNU) launched the UNU OpenCourseWare Portal in February 2008. One of the courses on offer is an introductory course on Integrated Water Resources Management (IWRM) developed by the UNU International Network on Water and Health (UNU-INWEH, Canada).

World Bank - Learning Modules

The World Bank is making some of its accumulated knowledge available as training modules. The first two freely available for download for home study are Attributes of Well-Performing Water Utilities and Aggregation of Water Supply and Sanitation Providers.
Open courseware: examples in the water and sanitation sector

Among all the courses offered by members of the OpenCourseware Consortium, there are three which specifically deal with water and sanitation in developing countries: Water and Sanitation Needs in Complex Humanitarian Emergencies, Tropical Environmental Health, and Water and Sanitation Infrastructure Planning in Developing Countries. Other organisations offer open courseware on potable water treatment, water and human health, IWRM and rainwater harvesting.
Resource Rights: Water for All workshops
