Water flow in a rural setting

CD3WD, an offline wiki for the third world

Updated - Thursday 04 October 2007

Access to more than 800 free online publications. CD3WD is effectively a leverage project, which assembles largely existing information, unbundles it in (the many) cases where it is locked up in proprietry format(s), and makes it available both online and offline via CD-ROMs.

CD3WD contains information on appropriate technology, soil and water, health, water and sanitation, and many more. The material includes OCW (open coursework) material from MIT, John Hopkins, and also electronic downloads from GTZ, Germany, ITDG/Practical Action UK and Development Technology Unit (DTU), Warwick University UK.

All the authoring and mastering is done by Alex Weir in Zimbabwe. CD3WD is in need of content contributors and of funding.
